This was another brutal week with a flood of new books this week. DC is pumping out Futures End #1 and there are some that I review this week.
Last weekend there was a new comic book store that opened in downtown Orange California. Big Red Comics who has a store in the Buena Park Mall has added a second location in the old town district of Orange.
Another week and another set of reviews. There were a lot of new #1 books this week and it made up for last weeks weaker selections.
It’s that time of year again for the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona. As you contemplate the chocolate dipped bacon or the bacon sprinkled doughnuts for a snack, run, don’t walk to Building Number 8 to see a heroic exhibit.
This week is a real mixed bag of new comic books. There were some real disappointments but there were some strong books to balance it all out.
Why does it always seem that when you have a holiday on a Monday that makes the work week shorter seem so much more busy and you never quite know what day it is.
It’s the last week of summer and while television shows are reruns and summer blockbusters imploded all over the screens, there were lots of great comics that came out over the summer and the fall promises to continue it’s hot streak.
A nearly perfect copy of the most highly sought after holy grail of comics has sold for $3,207,852.00 in the most watched auction in comics history.
It’s no wonder that I never catch up with comic book reviews because there are six new #1 issues that hit the shelves this week.
It’s been a while for a new Tales From The Shelf post and I hope to get some more up soon.
