Over the weekend the Long Beach Comic Con held there Expo that is a more intimate show than the full show that they put on in the fall.
The first Saturday of May is Free Comic Book Day where comic stores around the world giveaway Free Comic Books to get the word out to the public about the great comics that are available.
Today was the last day of WonderCon Anaheim and I spent most of the day in artist alley that I had not had a chance to see on Friday or Saturday.
Day 1 of the 3 day WonderCon invaded Anaheim today and was very busy for the first day. I spent most of the day on the show floor seeing all of the dealers and hooking up with friends.
AND WonderCon 2014 starts today at the Anaheim Convention center and the Pop Culture Maven Team will be there in full force.
FUN IN SPACE AND TIME The long running British television show, Doctor Who has never been more popular and this is very evident at the Gallifrey One Convention.

Comic book/geek conventions come in all shapes and sizes. Some are single day gatherings and others are multi-day events. They all have several things in common, cosplay, superheroes/villains, vendors with toys, books, original art, and a sense of community.
