It’s that time of the year again to gorge ourselves on Turkey and Pumpkin Pie. So with Thanksgiving week we are taking a little break today from a full post, but I will be back tomorrow with new Comic Book Reviews and recovering from Black Friday Shopping.
DC Comics has a huge Rebirth launch in this weeks new comic books so let’s get to it. The Flintstones #2 DC Comics Writer Mark Russell, Artist Steve Pugh, Colorist Chris Chuckry, Letterer Dave Sharpe So far the biggest surprise in the Hanna-Barbera line has been The Flintstones that was ironically the title that got the most criticism when the line was announced.
Another big week for new comics and DC Rebirth keeps rolling in and there were a few surprises too. So with so many books I will try to keep it brief so I can squeeze them all in this week.
DC Comics Rebirth relaunch starts this week so it going to be a very interesting summer to see if DC can bring back lapsed readers with yet another relaunch of the line.
DC: The New Frontier DC Comics Writer and Artist Darwyn Cooke, Colorist Dave Stewart, Letterer Jared K. Fletcher I was trying to come up with a post today but I’m still finding it hard to process the passing of Darwyn Cooke.
Over the weekend Deadpool broke all sorts of box office records. Here is how it all stacked up. #1 opening weekend ($132.75M) ever in Fox history #1 opening weekend ever for an R-rated film #1 February opening weekend #1 Winter opening weekend #2 opening weekend ever for an original Marvel property title #5 opening weekend ever for a Marvel property title Even more impressive is that this all happened with a very small $58 million budget that is very low by Hollywood standards for a major title with visual effects and a star.
