The Prisoner #1 Titan Comics Writer Peter Milligan, Artist Colin Lorimer, Colorist Joana Lafluente, Letterer Simon Bowland As a big fan of the original Prisoner television series, I was skeptical about this new incarnation of this comic because I also loved the 1988 sequel comic by Dean Motter published by DC Comics back in 1988.

Xeres The Fall of the House of Darius and the Rise of Alexander #1 Dark Horse Comics Writer and Artist Frank Miller, Colorist Alex Sinclair, Letterer Steve Miller In a book that is sort of but not really a sequel/prequel to Miller’s classic 300 series this story is about a war with the Greeks and the Persian’s that is both new and yet mines familiar territory.

Eternity Girl #1 DC’s Young Animal Writer Magdalene Visaggio, Artist Sonny Liew, Colorist Chris Chuckry, Letterer Todd Klein The first new title from DC’s Young Animal 2.0 relaunch gets off to a really good start and gives me hope that the line can get back on track after some growing pains after the first year.
