Renato Jones The One % #1 Image Comics Writer/Artist/Colorist Kaare Kyle Andrews, Letterer Jeff Powell Renato Jones is a title that on the surface has an odd visual style at first glance but once you start to reading the book you soon discover that it quite smart and snappy.
Batman Europa #1 DC Comics Story Matteo Casali and Brian Azzarello, Layouts Giuseppe Camuncoli, Pencils and Finishes Jim Lee, Colorist Alex Sinclair, Letterer Pat Brosseau It only took 11 years for Batman Europa to finally see the light of day and was it worth it?
Well now that we are officially in the past (of Back to the Future timeline) this week brought a lot of new books and some returning champs to the mix in this weeks reviews.
Tokyo Ghost #1 Image Comics Writer Rick Remender, Artist Sean Murphy, Colorist Matt Hollingsworth, Letterer Rus Wooton Tokyo Ghost is one of those titles that I like a lot of the ideas but the book is a little uneven.
Secret Wars: Secret Love #1 Marvel Comics Writer/Artist Michel Fiffe, Writer/Artist Felipe Smith, Writer Jeremy Whitley, Artist Gurihiru, Writer Marguerite Bennett, Artist Kris Anka, Letterer Clayton Cowles Writer/Artist Katie Cook Most of the Secret Wars book have been very disappointing but there have been a few rare gems that have sneaked through and this week brings us Secret Love.
Were back on schedule here at Pop Culture Maven until San Diego Comic Con comes and throws a monkey wrench into the schedule.
DC revamped line starts this week and while not all of them are hits they at least a better direction than DC has been going lately.
