Back again with this weeks new comic book reviews. I am still trying to catch up but its a slow process that things are not going as well as I had hoped.
Back again with this weeks new comic book reviews. I am still trying to catch up but its a slow process that things are not going as well as I had hoped.
Welcome back to our third week in a row that is a new current record for reviews. Just wanted to give a shout out to my local comic book store where I get my comics at Pulp Fiction Comics Long Beach is a great local shop and they do mail order also.
So two weeks in a row is a new record at this point. The holiday this week kind of threw off the schedule and a rough week at work delayed getting the reviews up on Friday but the good news with that is that I was able to get some of the backlog of comics in this weeks reviews so we are nearly caught up (well as nearly as I can get and still get some sleep and Diamond Comics still not getting all of the comics to the shop) So it was a light week for new comics but there are some recent ones that you might still want to check out.
Sorry its been so long in updating the website. The apocalypse will put a crimp in you’re life and then with Diamond comics shutting down everything went off the cliff from there.
Amethyst #1 DC/Wonder Comics Writer and Artist Amy Reeder, Letterer Gabriela Downie I was a big fan of the original Amethyst series back in the 1980’s and have been intrigued with her appearing in the Young Justice but there are so many characters in that comic it was hard for her to stand out.
Wonder Woman: Dead Earth #2 DC Black Label Writer and Artist Daniel Warren Johnson, Colorist Mike Spicer, Letterer Rus Wooton After a stunning first issue it was going to be hard for Johnson to top it and yet he does here but not in the usual way.
Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey #1 DC Black Label Writers Amanda Conner & Jimmy Palmiotti, Artist Amanda Conner, Colorist Paul Mounts, Letterer John J.
The Man Who F#&%ed Up Time #1 Aftershock Comics Writer John Layman, Artist Karl Mostert, Colorist Dee Cunniffe, Letterer John Layman
A surprisingly big week for Marvel Comics that had some surprises too. Few number ones so I was able to get to some of the continuing books that seems to be harder to do now.
It’s a pretty small week with the big release of Wonder Woman #750 and a few others so lets get to it.
