New Comic Book Reviews Week Of 11/1/17
This is a pretty big week and a huge flood of Batman comics from DC. Waid and Samnee are back and this time bringing their magic to Captain America that sorely needed it after the Secret Empire train wreck.

Silver Surfer #14 Marvel Comics Writers Dan Slott & Michael Allred, Artist Michael Allred, Colorist Laura Allred, Letterer Joe Sabino If you thought issue #13 was touching then your will have to break out the tissues for this one.
Ragman #1 DC Comics Writer Ray Fawkes, Artist Inaki Miranda, Colorist Eva De La Cruz, Letterer Josh Reed I’m probably one of the only reviewers of this book that actually remembers the original Ragman from the 1970’s by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert that was a very unique concept and with Kubert’s bold visual style really brought the character to life.
Harley and Ivy Meet Betty and Veronica #1 DC Comics/Archie Comics Writers Paul Dini and Marc Andreyko, Artist Laura Braga, Colorist Tony Avina and Arif Prianto, Letterer Deron Bennett In one of the more wild crossover events with the Archie universe that may not be as out there as the crossover with Predator that is still one of my favorites, but this one you could actually believe that they could all meet.
Marvel Legacy #1 Marvel Comics Writer Jason Aaron, Artist Esad Ribic with Steve McNiven, Additional Artists Chris Samnee, Russell Dauterman, Alex Maleev, Ed McGuinness, Stuart Immonen &
Gasolina #1 Image Comics Writer Sean Mackiewicz, Artist Niko Walter, Colorist Mat Lopes, Letterer Rus Wooton Gasolina is a comic that seems to be one thing but turns out to be that but with a great twists thrown into it.
Spy Seal #2 Image Comics Writer/Artist/Letterer Rich Tommaso I was quite taken with the first issue of Spy Seal and Tommaso does a great job on the second issue that keeps the great momentum building from the set up.
A busy week at the 9 to 5 gig has cut down this weeks reviews to a smaller batch to get to this week.
A small week as always with a fifth week comic book schedule. DC wraps up their month long Jack Kirby Specials and a few others.
Hi-Fi Fight Club #1 Boom! Box Writer Carly Usdin, Penciller Nina Vakueua, Inker Irene Flores, Colorist Rebecca Nalty, Letterer JIm Campbell I love that Boom Studios has been trying to push more comics aimed at a more non traditional comic base and this new series is another good step in the right direction.
