Well we finally have a smaller week with comic books so it’s a bit of a breather with fewer comics than usual.
Another big week of new comics to hit the shelves and it seems to get harder to get in as many reviews each week but I will keep up with them as best I can.
It’s another big week for new comic books. Lot of new series kicking off this week and a nice mix of independent comics to dig into.
A huge week for new comic books. Marvel is ramping up the Marvel Legacy with some to their big guns like Hulk and Deadpool.
Judge Dredd: Under Siege #1 IDW. Writer Mark Russell, Artist Max Dunbar, Colorist Jose Luis Rio, Letterer Simon Bowland I discovered Judge Dredd back in the 1980’s when Eagle Comics started to reprint them for an US audience.
Black Panther #173 Marvel Comics Writer Ta-Nehisi Coates, Artist Daniel Acuna, Letterer Joe Sabino I’ll be really honest that I was not a huge fan of Coates recent Black Panther run because I felt that coming from a book author background he wasn’t able to full capture the feel for a comic book script and it left me cold and flat.
Flavor #1 Image Comics Writer Joseph Keatinge, Artist Took Jin Clark, Colorist Tamra Bonvillain, Letterer Ariana Maher, Culinary Consultant Ali Bouzari Every week I’m alway on the look out at my local comic shop for books that are not only new but just flipping through it you get a sense that you need to read it.
Justice League: No Justice #1 DC Comics Writers Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Joshua Williamson, Artist Francis Manapul, Colorist Hi-Fi, Letterer AndWorld Design Spinning out of the Dark Metal series leads into this mini series that will relaunch the Justice League series gets off to a so-so start.
