It’s quite a large week for new comic book reviews so to get through as many as possible they might be a little briefer than usual, so on with them we go.
A nice light week of new comic books hit the stands and only a few new #1 issues with some returning series to the review pile.
Things are back in the groove this week with a few new #1 books and I am able to keep up with some of the ongoing series.
A surprisingly light week of new books with only a few new number one issues. I’m glad I get to catch up on more running series for the reviews for a change.
There are lots of returning books to the review list and a few new kids on the block this week so let’s get started.
This is one of the few weeks in recent history of these reviews that there were few #1 comics this week so it will allow for more reviews of current releases instead of just new books and that is a very welcomed sight.
Twilight Children #4 Vertigo Comics Writer Gilbert Hernandez, Artist & Letterer Darwyn Cooke, Colorist Dave Stewart The final chapter of this wonderful mini series comes to a somewhat somber conclusion that is going to divide a lot of readers on this.
Devolution #1 Dynamite Writer Rick Remender, Artist Jonathan Wayshak, Colorist Jordan Boyd, Letterer Rus Wooton Dynamite rarely does original comics so when they do I try to check them out to see what made them decide to go outside their licensed comfort zone.
It was 50 years ago yesterday on January 12th 1966 the Batman television series premiered on ABC and became a cultural phenomenon that has endured for 50 years and has impacted and inspired many generations.
