Tarzan on the Planet of the Apes #1 Dark Horse Comics/Boom! Studios Writers Tim Seeley and David Walker, Artist Fernando Dagnino, Colorist Sandra Molina, Letterer Nate Piekos Company crossover books are more miss than hit so when they are announced you alway take them with a grain of salt and hope for the best.
On Saturday Dan Didio (Co-Publisher DC Comics) hosted the DC Comics Rebirth panel at Long Beach Comic Con. It was a nice small intimate panel with Scott Lobdell (Red Hood and the Outlaws), Brett Booth (Titans), Jimmy Palmiotti (Harley Quinn) and Jonboy Meyers (Teen Titans).
Quite a few new series hit the shelves this week including even more new DC Rebirth titles. We also have a few returning books that hit the review stack this week so let’s get going, shall we.
A very big week for new comics this week. The start of the new DC’s Young Animal line of books kicks off and lots of independent books hitting the shelves too.
DC Rebirth is back this week along with some new indy books that made for a nice mix of comic books this week.

Yesterday August 28th would have been Jack “The King” Kirby’s 99th and what better way to celebrate that than reading comic books in public.
