Gasolina #1 Image Comics Writer Sean Mackiewicz, Artist Niko Walter, Colorist Mat Lopes, Letterer Rus Wooton Gasolina is a comic that seems to be one thing but turns out to be that but with a great twists thrown into it.
Spy Seal #2 Image Comics Writer/Artist/Letterer Rich Tommaso I was quite taken with the first issue of Spy Seal and Tommaso does a great job on the second issue that keeps the great momentum building from the set up.

A small week as always with a fifth week comic book schedule. DC wraps up their month long Jack Kirby Specials and a few others.
Hi-Fi Fight Club #1 Boom! Box Writer Carly Usdin, Penciller Nina Vakueua, Inker Irene Flores, Colorist Rebecca Nalty, Letterer JIm Campbell I love that Boom Studios has been trying to push more comics aimed at a more non traditional comic base and this new series is another good step in the right direction.

Dark Nights: Metal #1 DC Comics Writer Scott Snyder, Penciller Greg Capullo, Inker Jonathan Glapion, Colorist FCO, Letterer Steve Wands The bar was set pretty low for this book for me because the two prelude books were not very good and very drawn out to get the story going.
Mister Miracle #1 DC Comics Writer Tom King, Artist & Colorist Mitch Gerads, Letterer Clayton Cowles While not officially a Young Animal title it defiantly has the feel of those titles.
Recently I was invited to speak at a local film community LBAFA (The Long Beach Acting & Film Association) meeting where the topic was From Comics to Screen.
