After last weeks flood of new comic books this week was a bit lighter but still quite a few books to hit the shelves.
A huge week of new books and I will try to fit in as many as I can. Some of the reviews might be on the short side to speed things up.
Wonder Woman ’77 Special #2 DC Comics Writer Marc Andreyko, Artists Drew Johnson, Richard Ortiz, Cat Staggs, Jason Badower, Colorists Romulo Fajardo Jr., Brett Smith, Letterer Wes Abbott The second volume that collects the digital first stories based on the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman television series from 1977 brings three stories all written by Andreyko.
Over the weekend I finally got the chance to head up to California State University of Northridge that is currently holding an exhibit of Jack Kirby original artwork.
This was a smaller week than ususal so I will cover the comics from this week and a few that didn’t make it last week reviews.
Tokyo Ghost #1 Image Comics Writer Rick Remender, Artist Sean Murphy, Colorist Matt Hollingsworth, Letterer Rus Wooton Tokyo Ghost is one of those titles that I like a lot of the ideas but the book is a little uneven.
There are a million things on Kickstarter and it seems with comic books a lot more creators both new and established are trying to get their projects done with crowd-funding.
Head Lopper #1 Image Comics Writer, Artist, Colorist on Part 3 Andrew Maclean, Colorist Parts 1 & 2 Mike Spicer I was a bit sceptical on this book because of the high cover price and it looked mildly interesting but my local comic shop had it as the deal of the week and it was half off.
