DC: The New Frontier DC Comics Writer and Artist Darwyn Cooke, Colorist Dave Stewart, Letterer Jared K. Fletcher I was trying to come up with a post today but I’m still finding it hard to process the passing of Darwyn Cooke.
This quite possibly is the hardest post that I have ever had to write. 2016 is turning into a year of insurmountable loss of talent in many mediums.
Another big week for new comic books as we start to head into the summer season when the flood of comics hits the stands.
Free Comic Book Day has come and gone but the impact that it has on local comic shops is not only important to the shops sales but to open them to the community and get the general public a way to get new readers or laps readers into comic books.
Lots of books this week with a surprisingly strong showing from Marvel Comics. So let’s get to this. Criminal: Tenth Anniversary Special Edition Magazine Image Comics Writer Ed Brubaker, Artists and Design Sean Phillips & Elizabeth Breitweiser In a throwback to the old Warren and Marvel magazine comics Brubaker and Phillips along with Breitweiser celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Criminal with a special treat for both new and old readers.
One of the WonderCon panels that I was very excited to go to was the DC Comics new Hanna-Barbera line of comics that starts in May 2016.
