Over the past couple of days there have been some geek/nerd internet hate stories that really makes me mad. It seems that the internet has tuned into a cesspool of hate, bile and entitlement.
The first Saturday in May since 2002 has been Free Comic Book Day Around the world and this year was one of the biggest on record.
It’s that time of the year where nearly every comic shop in the United States celebrates the world of comics with a selection of free comic books.
The last week of the month brings the last batch of #1 Convergence titles to the shelves and it’s been more misses than hits for the books.
When it comes to kids and especially girls both Marvel and DC Comics has done a really poor job of getting kids to read comic books.
Week 3 on DC Comics Convergence is upon us and thankfully somewhat makes up for last week train wreck of released.
One of the things that I love most about WonderCon in Anaheim is the fantastic artist alley that they have. This is the third year that WonderCon has been in Anaheim and each year it seems that there are more talent that the show draws.
One of the highlights of WonderCon was the great Scott Shaw! Oddball Comics panel. Scott is one of the most talented guys around.
Week two of DC Comics second wave of Convergence titles land this week and while I have given up on the main Convergence series I have been picking up some of the regular titles.
